Hello! I am Dr. MFHamza, an Industrial Chemist with demonstrated years of commitment to teaching & Research. I work as a Lecturer in the Department of Pure & Industrial Chemistry, Bayero University Kano, Nigeria. Currently, as part of the capacity building, I have signed a one-year research contract (postdoctoral) at the Centre for Subsurface Imaging, Institute of Hydrocarbon Recovery, Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP), Malaysia.

Prior to that, I worked in Jubaili multi-national Agrochemical company and later served in Nigeria paramilitary government (NSCDC). My recent past experience was that of Graduate Assistant, Graduate Research Assistant & Research Scientist at the Centre of Research in Enhanced Oil Recovery, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. 

My research focuses on the Synthesis and modification of organic-inorganic based nanomaterials &  composites for application in Oil & Gas (nanoEOR), and recently expanding to areas Agriculture (nanoAgric), Environment (nanoremediation) & Health Industries (nanodental materials) 

I have been involved in mission-oriented research for developing nanotechnology solutions to improve hydrocarbon production from oil reservoirs.  

Internationally, I taught undergraduate courses as a tutor to the multi-diversity audience in South Africa & Malaysia.
In my host University, BUK-Nigeria, I teach undergraduate courses in Industrial & Chemistry related subjects such as Industrial chemical processes, Large scale industrial processes, Industrial process control, Industrial & laboratory organization, Raw material resources & inventory, and General Organic, Inorganic and Physical Chemistry.

I also supervise both undergraduate & postgraduate students for BSc & MSc projects. See activities under Projects on the header. 

Apart from that, I have strong international research collaborations & also actively into different academic communities and global associations. For E.g. I am part of the Applied Science & Technology Express Journal Editorial board, Ambassador lecturer to the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Ambassador to the University of the People, USA. Country Ambassador (Nigeria) African Network of Young Leaders for Peace and Sustainable Development, and Member, Global Youth Biodiversity Network.
